26 January is known as Republic Day, which the people of India celebrate with great enthusiasm every year. It is celebrated to honor the importance of being the Sovereign Democratic Republic which was announced on 26 January after the enforcement of the Constitution of India in 1950. It is celebrated to enjoy and remember India's historical independence from British rule. 26 January has been declared as a gazetted holiday across the country by the Government of India. It is celebrated by students across India by participating in programs organized in schools, colleges, universities and other educational institutions. The Indian government organizes an event every year in the national capital, New Delhi, where a special parade is organized in front of India Gate. People started gathering on Raj Path in the early morning to witness the great program. The construction of Vijay Chowk begins with a parade of all the three wings of the Indian armed forces displaying various weapons, weapons, tanks, large cannons and etc. military bands. It is a day of great importance and is celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm by the people and participate in various events. People wait for this day again and again to be a part of its celebration. The preparations for the Republic Day celebrations at Rajpath begin a month in advance and the road to India Gate becomes closer for the common people and a month before security arrangements are made to avoid any objectionable activities during the festival.
